mithrilling Posted March 14, 2025 Posted March 14, 2025 before people ask irrelevant questions yes i am sure i cannot install it from a USB i cannot and will not install it from a USB. thank you so... the iso created with media creation tool is too large for a DVD. I'm wondering if there's some other way to install windows 10 on this PC. Is it possible to install windows 8 and upgrade it to 10? is there maybe some stripped drown version of windows 10?

You can upgrade Windows 8 to Windows 10 version 1607, but you can't pass online verification so you have to use outdated 1607 offline.
mshultz Posted March 15, 2025 Posted March 15, 2025 I burned my ISO onto a Blu-Ray (BD-R) disc. My desktop has had a LightScribe Blu-Ray burner for a long time. I recently replaced the DVD drive in my laptop with a Blu-Ray drive.

mithrilling Posted March 16, 2025 Author Posted March 16, 2025 i ended up installing windows 8 and upgrading to 10 from the setup software from a usb made with media creation tool. its not activated but it's good enough
