Vertical alignment of icons in Quick Launch area

I'm a fan of Quick Launch.

The size of the icon is small compared to the height of the Quick Launch area, so the icons are aligned upward.

If you click the right mouse button to make the icon size of the window bigger in View, the icon is so big that it's awkward and the height of the Taskbar increases as well.

Can you make the icon in the Quick Launch area bigger or if that doesn't work, can you improve it to have vertical center alignment?

No. Don't use quick launch; use 'Never group' and pin icons.

No way to do that, that I know of. I also use QuickLaunch.
