Search doesn't work in 'special folders' at the 'right panel' in Windows 11

Featured Replies

I have some 'special' folders at the right panel of Start button menu.

For example, I have folder 'Разное' and application 'ProdDB' in it.

If I type 'ProdDB' in the search box, it can't find it.

PS: on other computer the search is working well (Windows 11 too).

I have turned indexing off for whole disk C. But turned indexing on particulary for folder 'C:\Users\MyName\StartIsBack' where custom folders are located.

Is it enough?

If you want custom app shortcuts to be searched as Programs but for some reason you don't want them in All Programs, you can create them in folders in

%APPDATA%\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Quick Launch\User Pinned

Then add those custom folders to SAB right pane
