FirstAidPoetry Posted February 8 Posted February 8 This might be silly but I miss the start menu entry to go directly to Windows update. Now I have to go the roundabout way of clicking "Advanced Windows Update" and then click my way to the update page from there. Not a huge thing but, I do miss it and it's there in the default start menu.
Tihiy Posted February 21 Posted February 21 No idea why your search is limited to 3. Search for 'driver'.
FirstAidPoetry Posted February 21 Author Posted February 21 I have no idea either. I haven't changed anything.
Tihiy Posted February 21 Posted February 21 So uhm, this option checks for updates, what else do you need?

It really was a small thing, I was wondering why "update" no longer shows the "windows update", as in the default start menu. Searching for "driver" to get it seems a bit counter intuitive, right?
Tihiy Posted February 21 Posted February 21 There's no 'Windows Update' in default search. 'Check for updates' is prioritized though.
FirstAidPoetry Posted February 21 Author Posted February 21 Okay so the problem was that when writing "update", it gave the "check for updates" for the installed XVID component, but not for Windows updates. You can see that in the first screenshot from the yellow icon. This is probably because they shared the same name and the limited to three search results? I uninstalled XVID to circumvent it.
