Can i force aero on vista rtm and up?

since my gpu driver doesn't support vista, i also heard some people saying that it only works on rc2 and below, how can i let aero work?

doesn't work for me, don't know why (im using vista rtm)

OS: Windows Vista RTM x64, CPU: Intel i5-4570,  GPU: Intel HD 4600 (im using an xp x64 driver), RAM: 12 GB DDR4

Aero is not possible with neither XP nor Win10 drivers.

i actually asked someone about this, and they said that they tried to force aero on vista, and it worked with them with xp drivers

Well, you can always try this to make sure, then.

Open regedit and go to Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\DWM.There, create a DWORD key named CompositionPolicy and set its value to 2.

Install the driver via computer manage. After the display driver installs, reboot or restart VDDM.

I'll check it out, but I have a very problematic Haswell GT1 "ult" device (on Pentium), it works poorly even with the official drivers.
