erpdude8 Posted June 5, 2024 Posted June 5, 2024 (edited) well the only way to "fix" your problem is with "trial and error" methods such as either replacing the whole PSU as mentioned in the following threads: https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Desktop-Hardware-and-Upgrade-Questions/Hp-Compaq-Elite-8300-SFF-psu-graphics-upgrade/td-p/5743592 https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Desktop-Hardware-and-Upgrade-Questions/Power-Supply-Upgrade-for-a-HP-Compaq-Elite-8300-CMT/td-p/6928080 a youtube video link on how to replace the psu on the hp elite 8300 or replacing the entire motherboard https://forums.anandtech.com/threads/hp-compaq-elite-8300-small-form-factor-installing-new-board-processor.2580369/ and test again with the replacement components. sometimes, there's no easy way to tell but to use such trial-and-error methods Edited June 5, 2024 by erpdude8 1
