with the announcement of the end-of-support for MAME on 7 is there even a MAME for other MAME like programs on these platforms? or is this the end of the gaming age on these platforms?

I can't find such announcement on the MAME official website and the latest version still works on Windows 7.

In any case, MAME is an open source project, so it's likely someone in the community will fix it if it ever becomes incompatible.
