Tripredacus Posted July 18, 2023 Posted July 18, 2023 It is clear you did not read the forum rules. We can start this again after you do that, as well as request a name change here: https://msfn.org/board/topic/71610-you-want-to-change-your-username/ Since the name you chose tries to work around a ban filter. 1

If you made a list of which files you replaced you may be able to revert. A repair install may be in order. Since you have access to VMs, you could make a new one and install XP and IE6 and get the files yourself. 2
gaouser Posted July 20, 2023 Author Posted July 20, 2023 Hmm, I somepoint tried to spam error message box with pressing down enter, AAND! It says ieframe.dll is missing? What? IE6 doesnt include that+normal Windows XP doesnt have that? now I slapped on dll, but why? (null) isnt an Win32 value? I think I should restart pc. *Restarting vintage pc* Im still getting that error
mina7601 Posted July 20, 2023 Posted July 20, 2023 (edited) I wish I could be of help to you, but unfortunately, I'm still unable to understand your problem. Edited July 20, 2023 by mina7601 1
NotHereToPlayGames Posted July 20, 2023 Posted July 20, 2023 TheLeftOldComputer - you can either spend 6 weeks trying to restore IE6 because you uninstalled IE7 incorrectly or spend 30 to 50 minutes depening on hardware to just reinstall XP. 1

You would also have to export .reg's from the VM and import to the host. You are really REALLY REALLY just better off archiving whatever you need saved and REINSTALLING your XP. If you have the ability to install to a VM, then you have the ability to install to your real hardware. I would suggest a program called DriverGrabber so you don't have to hunt for any drivers not part of OEM XP.
gaouser Posted July 21, 2023 Author Posted July 21, 2023 Im In an very bad statement, It has USB1.1 Internal and USB 2.0 PCMCI but, BIOS cant boot from it and BIOS update requires floppy which is broken, CD-ROM is unplugged for an unsuccesful try of putting SSD which worked on all my other PC's, I can just entirely remove HDD and use docker, but I use acronis for that purpose, Yeah I know that I can install to VM, But hardware is an XP computer like expected and its too old to even floppy drive to work
gaouser Posted July 21, 2023 Author Posted July 21, 2023 I got the registry file, but I will open Old PC later, Its very hot here
gaouser Posted August 18, 2023 Author Posted August 18, 2023 s***! NO! Well I tried to go back to IE7, I replaced the wininet.dll and JUST AN ETHERNET DLL MANAGED TO BSOD WHOLE NT KERNEL INCLUDING SAFE MODE, LITTERALLY BSOD STARTS WITH STOP MEANING ITS NT BSOD, well I need to get my HDD docker and do some *Professional Windows XP stuff*
