Cixert
I would like to know which cumulative update package to install after Windows Seven SP1 on a new installation. A 2016 package is mentioned here Windows 7 convenience rollup package https://answers.microsoft.com/es-es/windows/forum/all/cómo-instalar-las-últimas/5dcb4c51-ca8d-4e64-9a17-8af9afc16ca4 I see that there are also subsequent monthly updates. Are these monthly updates cumulative? How are monthly releases different from "security only" releases? Supposedly the free support ended on January 14, 2020 but I see that the last free package is from October 13, 2020 this is correct? https://support.microsoft.com/es-es/topic/13-de-octubre-de-2020-kb4580345-informe-mensual-2c204946-73d5-b596-ad70-d37507395dac After the end of free support there is ESU extended support. On this Dell page they put some requirements. Among these is the monthly package October 8, 2019. Isn't a later one useful? I don't know if there is a post that summarizes all this... Thank you. adi2137px
no it isn't correct, last non esu update is this one where they fixed blackscreen with wallpaper in feb 2020 and yes, this big one adds everything until monthly patches, remember this big package installs some bits of telemetry already Edited May 2, 2023 by adi2137px

Although it is not mentioned in the history, it seems that the last non-ESU Cumulative Monthly Review is from January 14, 2020. https://support.microsoft.com/es-es/topic/tuesday-january-14-2020-kb4534310-cumulative-monthly-package-9ce32b1b-77ef-9a17-7ecb-2bcebcaa9ff5 Is that one you mention @adi2137px,from February 2020, a loose patch or a cumulative one? There are annual ESU reviews until the end of 2022 https://learn.microsoft.com/es-ES/lifecycle/faq/extended-security-updates On January 10, 2023, it returns to monthly reviews https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/topic/10-January-2023-kb5022338-monthly-cumulative-package-6b406e1d-69b2-4e6a-b13e-053d22268e13 And later updates are only available for Windows 7 Embedded and Windows Server 2008 R2. Now my questions are: 1-If the cumulative monthly patch of January 14, 2020 includes the updates from SP1 or from 2016. 2-If the ESU monthly cumulative review of January 10, 2023 includes updates from 2016 or only since the last ESU annual review of 2022.
