legacyfan Posted March 16, 2023 Posted March 16, 2023 (edited) Ive been using windows 7 for awhile now and have been testing my new gpu (1030) on it to see how well it runs and I keep having an issue where when i put my desktop into sleep mode nothing it won't come out of it and i have to manually force restart my computer from the power button to get it to restart (the power options on the control panel are also locked somehow so I can adjust the sleep settings) if anyone could help with this it would be much appreciated Edited March 16, 2023 by legacyfan
legacyfan Posted March 16, 2023 Author Posted March 16, 2023 (edited) ive also tried using an older driver and that still did not fix it Edited March 16, 2023 by legacyfan
jaclaz Posted March 16, 2023 Posted March 16, 2023 (edited) I had the same issue, but with an older OS, another gpu, and with a CRT monitor, in my case also an older driver changed nothing. jaclaz P.S. Ooops, a link (tagged "I'm ill, doctor. Help!") fell out of my bag-o-links: http://jdebp.info/FGA/problem-report-standard-litany.html Edited March 16, 2023 by jaclaz

legacyfan Posted March 16, 2023 Author Posted March 16, 2023 the driver I used to try and fix it was 391.41 (it was at the latest 2022 driver before which caused the problem

Is it chinese iCafe ? I downloaded it from the gigabyte website (that's the brand of my card) yesterday (before I installed this driver it was on the latest driver for this card from 2022 (a security update driver) which is the one that caused the issue with sleep mode) this is the download page for the gpu https://www.gigabyte.com/Graphics-Card/GV-N1030OC-2GI/support#support-dl Edited March 16, 2023 by legacyfan

D.Draker Posted March 16, 2023 Posted March 16, 2023 Don't forget to clean up that "security update" driver crap with DDU first (before you try another or the previous driver that worked). https://www.guru3d.com/files-details/display-driver-uninstaller-download.html 1
