GD 2W10
Hi, I am trying to boot Windows XP x64 on UEFI in a VMware Fusion virtual machine, I used the boot files from Windows Server 2008 Beta 3 (I downloaded them from the YT video below), and but them on a separate boot partition. I try to boot it with Driver Signature Enforcement disabled, and it just hangs at "Starting Windows Vista". How can I fix this? Also I am not using boot.ini as I am using files from 2008 Beta 3, not Vista Beta 2. Edited July 20, 2022 by GD 2W10
jaclaz
Well, I had a quick look at the files posted together with the video, from those it seems like the install for which they were made (at least the boot.ini) was a single partition, if you are using separate boot and system partitions you may need to correct it (if using it) and/or the BCD (the "device" and/or "osdevice" element). https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-hardware/manufacture/desktop/bcd-system-store-settings-for-uefi?view=windows-11 jaclaz

But it just hangs at "Starting Windows Vista".
