Okay people, as I've hinted at earlier, I'm going to move XPlode to an open-source model, this should help continue development while I'm otherwise occupied with university and work.

Project home page:

http://sourceforge.net/projects/xplode/

I'll move the main XPlode site to the sourceforge http://xplode.sourceforge.net/ soon.

What I would like is a bunch of people to help with certain things, code cleanup, docs, website etc. as I have less than4 hours a week to devote to XPlode. Hardly enough to update stuff with any frequency.

I'm going to try and do a large cleanup of the code now, before I go out tonight (radiohead concert :)) so hopefully I'll have put XPlode up onto CVS by tonight.

Beware tho, there will be virtually no comments - I have no real time to put them in. If someone else wanted to be extremely nice, then you people might get some.... ;-)

Anyways, post here if you want to help, and I'll see what might be done.

I'm going to try and help with some documentation. I also don't mind helping with a website. And soon, I will probably also have loads of "skins"/graphics for XPLode!

I'll see what I can do to help if you're interested Wraith... I can help with Docs and Website, probably a bit with coding too...

I'm thinking I'll postpone it until SP2 is out.

I have heaps of work to do, so it may have ended up happening then anyways.

I'm going to put out a 1.1.0 today (no excuses from me now, it WILL be done) and hopefully that will tide people over until 1.2.0 + SP2 + SourceForge,

This time I'm going back to the old "comment the XML for docs" routine. No time otherwise.

Just as a "teaser", I've uploaded the shortcut plugin to CVS - it's from XPlode 1.1.0, with the new plugin SDK. It should serve as a suitable reference for plugins for XPlode 1.1.0 and onwards.

The web-based CVS doesn't seem to have it yet, but you can checkout the XPlodeShortcutPlugin2 module via proper means.

Check the sourceforge.net page for a howto.

Or, for the inept or lazy:

cvs -d:pserver:anonymous@cvs.sf.net:/cvsroot/xplode checkout XPlodeShortcutPlugin2

cvs -d:pserver:anonymous@cvs.sf.net:/cvsroot/xplode checkout XPlodeShortcutPlugin2

stupid question.....Wha?? :)

where is the cvs command from? is that at a DOS prompt? IE window?

I'm tired, and not thinking, so thought I'd ask.

Count me in if you need help with the easy stuff too :)

I have little coding experience but with the website/docs/etc I should be possible to give a hand.

Did anyone allready start on the docs for 1.10?

Is there a roadmap/todo list for the project?
