Windows 2003 : Firewall & AV Scanner

Featured Replies

Hi all :)

I have Windows Server 2003 Standard installed here and I would like to know what the best Firewall and Anti-Virus Scanner to use with it, anyone got suggestions? Whats the best?

I would also like to know if there are any All-in-one defraggers, registry/disk cleaners out there that work with it aswell, with XP I used Fix-It Utilities 4 and I really liked that, is there anything similar that will work with 2K3?

Thanks in advance for any help

ABEO

AV: Symantec Antivirus Corp Edition, NOD32, F-Prot

Firewall: Outpost, Zonealarm, Tiny Personal Firewall

Defragger: Diskeeper, PerfectDisk or O&O Defrag (the best IMO)

Registry Cleaner: jv16 Powertools, Ace Utilities

firewall: ISA 2000!!!1111```

That is a good firewall, but in order to run at its full potential the server itself should not be the ISA server. I do believe he is meaning client side firewall. But must say I stand by ISA server 2000, the only thing I feel lacks is the reporting options.

im running symantec antivirus corporate v8.1 with norton internet security 2003 pro, they both work great and dont cause any wierd errors like some other programs do on server 2003.

so far norton antivirus 2003 and 2004 will just not install, and norton internet security 2004 didnt work right at all, hope this helps. :)
