I want to put some software on my dad's store computer to monitor where the employees are surfing during the day. In particular all we really need is URL & time of day it was visited. IE's history can be erased and the employees know about this so it's not a good idea just to mention IE's history as an option. :) It isn't. Please help!

Something free would be nice.

Thanks.

C:\Documents and Settings\<<UserName>>\UserData

Find a file named Index.dat, open it with a DAT viewer.

You will see all the pages visited by the user, even if IE's history and cache was cleaned.

There's also a program called Winwhatwhere It keeps a log of everything the user is doing. U can tell it to record pictures as well. U can set it to take a snap of the screen at whatever time intervals... It also let's u view a log of all the mouse clicks... Really neat program Winwhatwhere Investigator

Hope this works for u :)

THere is a program called 12Ghosts TrayProtect that allows you to hide tray icons. I have never tried it myself so I don't know how well it works.
