i'd have bought seagate, but it was more expensive at that time..

thx ,guys

I wanna state that a 8 mb cache is really expensive for me @ this time

so I will stick to 2mb cache disks

well nobody tried Maxtor b4?

well I did ; it was fine but didn't try W.D or Paracoda myself for enough time

so now what I got is:at least practically W.D takes the lead.

well any other commens?

& plz specify ur experience with them after comparing theoritically coz @ my level (I am not a harware guy)I noticed almost no significant differnces between them theoritically according to their specifications on the site.

hey there are lots of webpages that tecnically compare them

Rebates? I'm not in the USA :D

 not there but I wish 2 be there :)

I had WD - HDD 120 GB - 8 MB cach , but it stoped ( dead) . I use it only 6 monthes , I lost about 100 gb Applications + flims +many cool things...

120 gb = 114 Gb ( HAAA) :D

you can use only 114 GB from this HDD > (Formated Data)

using other brand can earn 2 gb more

I am useing Now Maxtor , working better .

but as XtremeMaC and AaronXP said Go for the SATA WD Raptor 74gb if you can . 10000 RPM
