hi everyone I have a problem I have HDD ( Maxtor 160 GB 8 MB Buffer + WD 40 GB 2 MB Buffer) I can install windows XP SP2 in the small HDD ( 40 GB ) only. when I start installing windows in Maxtor (160 GB ) after the first restart I got a black screen and everything stoped I reformat my drive ( C:\ )and I stared again but the same result !!!!!!!! so I return to my old CD ( Windows XP PRO without any SP ) and gusse what after the first reboot I windows scaned my last drive ( it's has the letter F:\ ) so I did it and I finshed my setup. why ?? I used the same CD and the same CD-ROM ? I don't think the problem from CD-ROM drive or HDD or the CD SO want to know is somebody Installed Windows XP pro with SP 2 integrated in a HDD greater than 137 GB ???? did someone faced such a thing ?? waiting for your reply thanks in advanced

not there but I wish 2 be there I had WD - HDD 120 GB - 8 MB cach , but it stoped ( dead) . I use it only 6 monthes , I lost about 100 gb Applications + flims +many cool things... 120 gb = 114 Gb ( HAAA) you can use only 114 GB from this HDD > (Formated Data) using other brand can earn 2 gb more I am useing Now Maxtor , working better . but as XtremeMaC and AaronXP said Go for the SATA WD Raptor 74gb if you can . 10000 RPM

no, I didn't change my boot screen. please Alanoll take a look for my files above and tell me I did it correct ,waiting for you advice .to be honest with you I didn't make by my self i just copy it from other members .
