SammiLucia
Hi, thanks for an amazing product which I've used for years. I've tried on 3 separate computers, with StartIsBack 2.8.9 installed, explorer.exe commit size balloons out over 1 or 2 days (see attached) on all 3 PCs. Sometimes up to 20 GB. If I remove StartIsBack on any of the PCs this behaviour stops happening. In addition, Chromium based browsers (Cent, Brave) start drawing a black screen on heavy use (30+ tabs, especially several YouTube tabs). Eventually Chrome and/or the PC will become unresponsive and hang. Killing and restarting explorer.exe prolongs the eventual hang. Of possible relevance, I'm also using UltraUXThemePatcher, and OldNewExplorer. Task Manager: https://imgur.com/a/qgaoJFd
Tihiy
Enable GDI and USER columns, check if there is a resource leak? Enable 'command line' column, check if it's main shell or separate browsers leaking? Try to find any noticeable explorer.exe memory leak scenario? Memory usage should be sub-100MB. SammiLucia
from further testing the cause is not StartIsBack 😊
