Orsi
hey there, I'm building my AIO-DVD with Server 2003, XP Pro and 2000. And except for the 2000 setup, everything's perfect. When I try to install Windows 2000 Professional, at the beggining of the Setup it asks me for Service Pack 4 CD-ROM.I don't know what I'm doing wrong since I've followed the guide. The only thing I didn't do was to copy the file spnotes.htm to the AIO-DVD folder.Does anybody has a solution or some trick to solve this?PS - I've used the method 4 to create the boot folder (2PRO)tks guys

When I make the ISO, it boots, starts the installthen prompts for sp4 disk I did the exact same for XP pro slipstreamed sp1, works greatwin 98 works as well, and all the dos utilities I added, ghost, partition magic and a few others, I must have made 25 images so far with the same result, any ideas? What am I missing? z1ggz
Ok now i'm really confused...I got Windows 2000 to work but, I copied The entire 1386 folder from D:\AIO-DVD\SETUP\2000\PROFESSIONAL and copied it to D:\AIO-DVD\2PROso some where its pointing to D:\AIO-DVD\2PRO Which i think is why it couldnt findthe files before, maybe in the setupltr.bin file? z1ggz
Sorry forgot to add somethingwhen I make the iso file with cd image i getWARNING: These two files are identical for the first 65536 bytes, but differat some point beyond that. This could be intentional, but it might indicatethat one of these two source files is corrupt: D:\AIO-DVD\PRO1\SETUPLDR.BIN D:\AIO-DVD\SETUP\XP\PROFESSIONAL\I386\SETUPLDR.BINWhich is ok because win xp works.... shouldnt i get the same for win 2000 exept in there respective directories? Alanoll
yes.make sure you're also editing TXTSETUP.SIF to reflect it's new path.AND make sure you copy the IDENT files, that are in the root of your Win2K folder.
z1ggz
Think I got it SetupSourcePath = "\SETUP\2000\Professional\" in txtsetup.sif which should be looking for setup files..I found 3 IDENT files, TRIDENT.SY_ , MSIDENT.DL_ and IDENT.HL_Hopefully these are correct, There the only ones with IDENTThanks for the help
Alanoll
umm...by IDENT i didn't mean ones containing the phress IDENT.I meant the files at the root of your slipstreamed W2K folder. CDROM_NT.5CDROM_IP.5CDROMSP4.TSTREADME.DOCREAD1ST.TXT

CuBie
I got this sort of error with xp the other day, when making my AIO cd. i found that it was the -d command i was passing to cdimage.exe (The command to make it not rename all files to caps).. Just pay around with the command line options of cdimage if it dont work after putting the IDENT files in the root.Hope it helps.Chris.
z1ggz
adding the CDROMSP4.TST seems to work, ThanksAlso, does anyone know if adding hotfixes to winxp is the same as in windows xp?
Alanoll
ummm...Also, does anyone know if adding hotfixes to winxp is the same as in windows xp?well, considering they are the same operating system, should be fine. If you meant Win2K. Most are the same, but a few needs to be like the Advanced Networking Pack. It may be easier to use XPCreate. 2K can be used as the source, and if you put the 2K hotfixes in the right spot, it works just the same.
