Nephilim
Hi everyone, today I am back with a different problem ;-)I would like to activate the "Hibernate" option at the "Energy Settings" option. The Problem I have, is that everytime I want to turn it on I get an error message telling me, that it is not possible to create the (necessary) file (hibernate.sys).I tried to defrag, I killed every unnecesary process, the only thing I haven't tried yet is to go the "registry-way" by pasting the necessary reg key into the registry. I actually would like to avoid that and I have my doubts that it will work, as this won't create any file.Does anybody know what to do (besides reinstallin my Windows XP)?Thanks in advance,Nephilim
Jono
might sound a really stupid question but do you have the neccessary hard drive space (size of your installed ram) free on your C Drive.
Nephilim
Well atleast kind of, Jono ;-)Yes I definately have enough of both of them and it worked perfectly fine before I reinsalled my Windows. To be honest I already tried the "registry way". I extracted the entries from my desktop PC and applied them on my notebook. Long story short: IT WORKS!If anyone is in need of help on how to get the registry data, just send me a message! Thanks again to Jono.
