roger04 Posted April 10, 2004 Posted April 10, 2004 Will deleting icons/shortcuts on desktop help to reduce the mem usage of explorer.exe?Any other ways to reduce resources in explorer.exe? Thanks!
dancity Posted April 10, 2004 Posted April 10, 2004 and system tray processess usually kill explorer's loading time as well, you might wanna check that out aswell.
DirtDevil Posted April 10, 2004 Posted April 10, 2004 Open Task Manager and switch to processes to see what more backround services you might have running... System Tray doesn't show them all!
XtremeMaC Posted April 11, 2004 Posted April 11, 2004 if u have a slow hdd and not so much ram cleaning up the icons do help!!! windows loads all those icons. so if u have lots of things on the desktop its gonna slow it down!if u're experiencing slowness. defrag, close the startup programs, get rid of some icons.. etc...
