behdadsoft Posted October 24, 2017 Posted October 24, 2017 Hi. I converted my install.wim to .esd format. but when I try to install windows, at installation time give me Error code: 0xC0000005. but before convert to .esd, windows installed without any error. I need convert .wim to .esd for decrease size. anyone know how can fix this problem?
Tripredacus Posted October 24, 2017 Posted October 24, 2017 It is an access denied message. You'd have to figure out exactly what it is doing and where the access is being denied. If you have put this onto a DVD, try putting it onto a USB instead to see if it is the ESD itself that is getting locked.

behdadsoft Posted October 24, 2017 Author Posted October 24, 2017 if this problem is an access denied message, why after show error message, if i try to install windows again it don't give me any error and install correctly?
Tripredacus Posted October 25, 2017 Posted October 25, 2017 If this is happening in a regular WinPE and using Windows Setup, you should be able to find the log files in the ramdisk (x drive) and may be a better clue of what it is doing when you get this error.
behdadsoft Posted February 6, 2018 Author Posted February 6, 2018 while do this happen, how can access to ramdisk (x drive)?
Tripredacus Posted February 6, 2018 Posted February 6, 2018 In a regular DVD, you can access the command prompt with Shift+F10.
