Vienna Posted October 25, 2015 Posted October 25, 2015 Hi, I have installed W2k to my second hard disk and I have got work graphics and network but not sound card. I tried instal XP driver but W2k doesnt show any audiodevice on Control panels audio-section. I could get sound by Asus's software (you can test speakers on software (http://www.guru3d.com/index.php?ct=files&action=file&id=224)) but not any sound from Windows or other softwares. Device manager show two Realtek audio devices and the another works but the another doesnt works and device manager says error code 1.How could I get the sound card works on W2k? I believe that is possible because W2k and XP have a lot of common. My computers specs:AMD Phenom II X6 1090T @ 3,85Ghz8Gt Ddr2Asus M4A79 DeluxeGeforce GTX660
Opticork Posted October 26, 2015 Posted October 26, 2015 (edited) Welcome to MSFN! About your case, I think that I found one, but I didn't tested it and I am not sure if it is going to work or not. It won't hurt to give it a try. Link: http://de.ccm.net/download/downloaden-4029-realtek-high-definition-audio-treiber-fuer-windows-2000-xp Edited October 26, 2015 by Opticork
Vienna Posted October 31, 2015 Author Posted October 31, 2015 Hi, thank you for the driver candidate but that didnt fix my problem. Device manager and control panels sound section looks like this http://aijaa.com/CdFUSK Does anyone has any other suggestions for this problem? I found website where almost same pc-system works with Windows 2000 (also sounds, how ) http://blog.livedoor.jp/blackwingcat/archives/847587.html
sdfox7 Posted November 2, 2015 Posted November 2, 2015 I went to Asus' driver page for the M4A79 Deluxe drivers: http://www.asus.com/Motherboards/M4A79_Deluxe/HelpDesk_Download/ I then download the driver zip file from 2008 (the 2nd link on the page): http://dlcdnet.asus.com/pub/ASUS/Barebone/P-P5N9300/RealtekALC1200_Audio_V51005657_V6015657.zip After downloading, I opened the AsusSetup.ini file in the root of the folder, and I also opened the Readme.txt in the /Driver/Wdm folder. Both indicate that you should be able to install the driver in WINNT50 (aka Windows 2000) with Device Manager. See the below files I have placed on my FTP: 1
AnX Posted November 7, 2015 Posted November 7, 2015 Grab the latest realtek audio driver for Windows 2000 from the realtek.com.tw website, that should do the trick.
