vinifera Posted September 30, 2015 Posted September 30, 2015 I still fail to understand why people take vista over 7 when 7 is tweaked vistaunless i'm missing something magically hidden in vista ?
spookymulder90 Posted October 2, 2015 Author Posted October 2, 2015 Yeah, Vista have "magical" things But now I'm using Windows 7 on Y510P, 'cause Vista don't want working good on this PC.
WinClient5270 Posted October 3, 2015 Posted October 3, 2015 I guess people have their preferences.I know I sure do... http://prntscr.com/8n58epAnd it runs faster and more stable than Windows 7 on this PC.. hahahahahaha 1

I suppose a watered down Vista is of no surprise amongst popular demand (JK)Lol such an old topic though. Folks here get by happily on ole NT 5 based OSes, we're all using similar products none the less. If you can make it work, why fuss over it? I build my machines to have complete control. Not trying to step on anyone's toes though. Use whatever you wish. Edited October 3, 2015 by 11ryanc 2
WinClient5270 Posted October 3, 2015 Posted October 3, 2015 (edited) http://prntscr.com/8ndxp0Nice set of.. cores. Which are all in use instead of every other one being parked which 7 has a nasty habit of doing (which causes performance degration)And then there's this...Win7: http://prntscr.com/8ndyr8Vista: http://prntscr.com/8ndz35Well, to each their own. vinifera Posted October 3, 2015 Posted October 3, 2015 ouch on using NT search as for cores, dunno what you meant

spookymulder90 Posted October 11, 2015 Author Posted October 11, 2015 @2008WindowsVista - Nvidia graphics drivers still aren't working. What I can do?
WinClient5270 Posted October 11, 2015 Posted October 11, 2015 Try downloading the drivers from here, but choose Windows 7 as the OS.http://www.geforce.com/drivers I downloaded and ran the installer, and it appears that it also includes Vista drivers. I couldn't follow through completely with the setup since I don't have compatible hardware but it wouldn't hurt to give it a shot on your configuration.
