mike13 Posted July 13, 2015 Posted July 13, 2015 Lets say that your computer is really messed up with malware and viruses, but you have been making monthly backups of your entire computer to an external hard drive. Lets assume you can make it to the desktop and use the RESTORE function of Paragon Backup and Restore for example. Will doing the restore clean the computer, or will it still be infected ? dencorso Posted July 13, 2015 Posted July 13, 2015 Yes. Provided you boot from a clean medium (like a Windows PE) and restore the clean backup from there. If you boot from the infected system, then whatever you do may be already compromised.
