I have tried to run update trouble shooter and it fixes things and then on shutdown windows wants to the same updates....I have looked at each one in turn and tried to download them and install them...then I get they are already installed...something isn't right.... What do I do now? bookie32

NoelC Posted March 23, 2015 Posted March 23, 2015 Try these two commands, in order, in an elevated CMD window: DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth SFC /SCANNOWThese can take quite a long time to run, be patient. They'll fix any servicing database problems you've accumulated on your computer and I'll bet Windows Update will work better afterward.-Noel
