Kelsenellenelvian Posted April 20, 2014 Posted April 20, 2014 Your solution is in this thread http://www.msfn.org/board/topic/171434-wpi-created-on-windows-7-ultimate-x64-bit-doesnt-work-on-other-versions/#entry1073091There's a error in the current wpi.hta in the common folder. Replace with the one from the post
hasbro1 Posted April 21, 2014 Author Posted April 21, 2014 Thank you, i just do it but still have the problem. When open the wpi the countdown is still show. Go to settings and the option por it is disabled but the countdown just appears :-(
Kelsenellenelvian Posted April 21, 2014 Posted April 21, 2014 Download a new archive and replace the wpi.hta in the common folder with the new one and then copy only the config.js in the user files folder to the new wpi folder. Then reset the options and themes.
hasbro1 Posted April 21, 2014 Author Posted April 21, 2014 Thank you again, i just do everything that you said but i still have the problem with the countdown :-(
Kelsenellenelvian Posted April 21, 2014 Posted April 21, 2014 OK here is a test archive.http://wpiw.net/WPI_Test.rarUnrar this and try just running it and setting the options (Don't forget to save before exiting the options menu)
hasbro1 Posted April 21, 2014 Author Posted April 21, 2014 Again, i did exactly following your instructions and nothing, same problem here :-(
ykchanaed Posted August 8, 2014 Posted August 8, 2014 (edited) While I was using the WPI 8.6.3 with no problems, this error suddenly came out when I run WPI:script error line: 1char : 25error: expected">" ? or ")" code: 0URL: WPI/Common/WPI.htaI upgraded to WPI 8.7.2 and after fixing some lang file errors and config.js errors, the same error mentioned above came out again! The above same window appeared again after pressing Yes, and WPI seemed running well after pressed Yes the second time.If I pressed No, the above window only appeared once and WPI seemed running well afterwards. Windows 7, IE11, os lang:en_us, system locale : chinese taiwan It seemed this error came after I ran the same WPI in another user account of the same OS, ???? Edited August 8, 2014 by ykchanaed
Kelsenellenelvian Posted August 9, 2014 Posted August 9, 2014 Somehow your wpi.hta has been modified. There is no other way to explain this error.
ykchanaed Posted August 13, 2014 Posted August 13, 2014 (edited) ====== Error Fixed ===== Somehow my config.js was encoded in Unicode BOM!After config.js was changed to ANSI encoding, the error window did not appear! ====== Error Fixed ===== Edited August 13, 2014 by ykchanaed
Kelsenellenelvian Posted August 13, 2014 Posted August 13, 2014 Thats why manual editing of the config is discouraged...
WotC Posted September 7, 2014 Posted September 7, 2014 Hi! Had problems with timer (regardless what options i chose, i.e. disable/10 minutes it always came up with 1 min timer) as well as language setting (set it to english but got always the localized language). However, the updated test archive http://wpiw.net/WPI_Test.rar you provided solves these problems. Thanks a lot, gave me a headache. KR
