HFCLEANUP - Empty Folders

In the readme file included with hfcleanup.zip it states:

7. If you are annoyed by empty folders, you can clean up most of them by using modified SFC.DL_ and SFCFILES.DL_ files in the FIX folder.

I have searched about to find info in regards to doing so, but have failed.

I was wondering how do I go about doing this.

check out fdv's site. there you can get the required files. they're in his fileset.

the fix folder is called replace\i386 nowadays.

I have been on his site, and have been using his fileset for years. So I have the files, but putting them in the FIX folder isn't removing the empty folders. And I haven't found anywhere (including FDV's site) that explain how to do this.
