Its been reported on the MSFN frontpage already. Also, people are having problems getting the download in one piece on their local hard disk. I finally managed to download the sucker, but when I double clicked it, it said its not a valid windows application.

Don't you hate it when that happens. I just downloaded a 370MB archive last night to find out it was corrupt. :S

And it took me a day to find the **** thing.

Do what i did: use reget deluxe. It opens like 15 connections with the server. This way i was able to download the network install in about 20 mins.

FlashGet was also able to handle the problem quite gracefully and get the whole thing uncorrupted in 12 minutes.

It does kinda suck. Wuz trying to download it yesterday already, when it would quit downloading after about 30 MB, repeatedly!

Ooohh!!! So you're the one that's sucking away our bandwidth!

I had used all kinds of accelerators (flashget mass downloader internet download accel etc..) i always had errors. I had 10 tries. and my internet connection can go up to 9mb/s which it did up to 50% of the file then dropped down and eventually 0'd.

I downloaded the **** thing again, same error... Not a valid windows app.

I got that download at 150KB but I guess it was from my providers cache, and that one is corrupted. I tried downloading it again with a shift-click, and now its coming in at 8KB.

I've also taken liberty to try your link XtremeMac. Thanks for that. Unfortunately it seems I'm not the only one. At 2KB, I think waiting for the final SP2 will be faster.

Another 5 hours and the MS download should be complete (for the third time).

that's like impossible! let me change some stuff.

just bc i thought lots of ppl would dl i limited the max connections per user to 1. i've changed it pls reply if u're getting it any faster..

Downloaded it in no time at all. 650k a sec on Cable. No problems and am going to load it this weekend. I hope it will be worth the wait?
