mike13 Posted May 17, 2013 Posted May 17, 2013 I just received my new Dell Optiplex computer that I bought on E-Bay (I know, that could be trouble) anyway, once in a while I get this message "THE CATALYST CONTROL CENTER IS NOT SUPPORTED BY THE DRIVER VERSION OF YOUR ENABLED GRAPHICS ADAPTER. PLEASE UPDATE YOUR AMD GRAPHICS DRIVER OR ENABLE YOUR AMD ADAPTER USING DISPLAYS MANAGER." I noticed there is an opening in the back of the computer where an optional graphics card might have been. They probably removed the card, and forgot to put the small tab back in. I found reference to this Catalyst Control Center in Task Manager, and I disabled it.Should this fix the problem, or do I need to "UPDATE" something as the message said. My thought is that this message is referring to the missing graphics card. Your thought, suggestions. Thanks, Mike
puntoMX Posted May 17, 2013 Posted May 17, 2013 Just de-install the AMD drivers and you´ll be good. They have been left on the PC when they took out the add-on ATI/AMD video card.
Ponch Posted May 18, 2013 Posted May 18, 2013 (edited) Edit. ... nothing to add here. My answer was for a laptop. Edited May 18, 2013 by Ponch
