joe43wv Posted January 9, 2013 Posted January 9, 2013 I was wondering if anyone has any suggestions for a password expiration notification software. What I am needing is a program that notifies a user by email, text message, or some other means when their password is x number of days away from expiring. Any ideas? I am running a domain on Server 2008.
Sp0iLedBrAt Posted January 9, 2013 Posted January 9, 2013 Isn't there a balloon notification for that in the user taskbar (just like the one for low disk space, or desktop cleanup wizard, or local area network is disconnected)? I'm sure you can set the number of days before expiry in Active Directory without buying other software.Just saying...Cheers
joe43wv Posted January 10, 2013 Author Posted January 10, 2013 The issue is the users in question use public login devices, they don't login with their own credentials. They only check their webmail once every two weeks and ignore the message at the top that says Your password is going to expire in X number of days. We are wanting to have a way to either auto. email or text the individual that their password is about to expire since they are ignoring current steps.
