bookie32 Posted September 2, 2012 Posted September 2, 2012 Hi guys I know I probably will get my arese kicked on this one, but swamped with reading material on subject and don't really know where to start....... I am trying to make a general installation of windows that I can use on all my computers, with all program software installed, and install it via a USB.....I don't know if there are any pitfalls that I should know about.....At the moment I am building my wim in VMWare and if I am going to use that as my "install.wim" are there any limitations? What is the best way to capture my installation if I am going to use it as my "install.wim"? I don't need any user info remaining...just all my programs already installed.....If I understand this correctly - I need to capture the installation and then implement it to my so called DVD image that can be applied to a USB?Is there a limit to the size of the "install.wim" when installing from a USB?I have a 32GB Transcend 3.0 which I thought would be the drive for this project.....Please bear with this old fart and his ramblings......Thanks!bookie32
