Hi guys! :thumbup

I have just updated several computers for a customer....everything was working great....

My customer used one of them yesterday and it worked fine...she was happy....She started it today...a message came up that she didn't make a note of and all hell broke loose....

I have just installed and updated antivirus software on all computers.

She said that she couldn't make anything happen when clicking on IE she tried logging into the other three accounts on the computer and lots of different errors came up....?!

I suspected a virus...

I have the computer now and have run chkdsk repair ....nada.

I have run sfc /scannow....didn't even ask for the installation cd.....

I have no errors in device manager, but there is no internet connection icon....?!

I have checked user accounts nothing completely blank....

I have run several offline antivirus programs....nada?!

It would be a lot of work to back up all the files and reinstall at this point...no point in cloning.....

Has anyone any suggestions (apart from throwing it off my balcony)...

Thanks!

I'm ill, doctor. Help!

will lead you (and your customer) nowhere. :(

OT , but not much ;), you may want to also have Nada 0.5 installed

It won't do anything :w00t: , but it's nice to know it's there  :

Hi folks!

I backed up all files on the drive and run repair installation and then everything looked OK...or so I thought.... :realmad:

Started computer to check it now before giving it back to the customer and it ran chkdsk.....removed tons and now is replacing and it has been doing that for quite some time....

Spoke to the customer who couldn't really give me any info yesterday...."oh yes it did that for me"....

As soon as this is done going to do a proper check to see the state of the drive and then reinstalll (fresh installation) if no problems show with the drive...
