Computer wont log me in.

Featured Replies

My computer wont let me log in anymore. After I enter my password it starts to boot, but as it finishes the welcome screen, it kicks me back to the log in screen.

What's happening? How do I fix this?

Hello...

Try to boot in Safe mode and if that won't works then insert the Windows cd and boot again then press R for recovery console

  • Choose the OS you want to boot in and enter your administrator password

  • Then, open the C:\Windows> prompt Type:"EXPAND E:\i386\userinit.ex_ C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32"
After that just type EXIT and you will reboot and take you to your Welcome Screen.

Hope it works for you....

Sorry, I forgot to update.

I have solved the issue with a bootable CD to blank or change the password. I first tried changing, but it didn't work as the instruction said sometimes doesn't work. Then I tried to just blanking password and voilla! it let me back on.

I then went to users account in control panel and removed the password completely.
