Multi-Boot USB

Featured Replies

Hello.

I’m working on a little project, where I will make a USB-Stick witch multi-boot,

with a version of Linux where I can boot from USB,

and have opportunity to install Windows XP, Windows Server 2k3, Windows Vista, Windows 7, Windows Server 2k8 from the USB.

Which program can be used to make a GUI multi boot-menu,

and which version of Linux can I use?

For example is "Ultimate Boot Disk" using a version of Linux,

which seems to be very user friendly, and have some potential applications.

Which program can be used to make a GUI multi boot-menu,

It's all a matter of preferences, Syslinux or grub4dos.

The latter has different GUI modes, see (as an example):

And check also @ded-lego@ thingies:

current projects to "install windows from USB" use grub4dos, so choosing it might prove to be easier for you.

and which version of Linux can I use?

*any* you like.
