k2x5
I've got the latest HFSLIP2000-FullPack from tomasz86's Archive, and I have installed the 20141114_NETFX101120303540 .NET combined install package. I'm running into an issue with the combined .NET update - when I try to install the package it copies all the files into place and then near the end of the installer I get the error: .NET Framework Initialization Error C:\WINNT\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v4.0.30319\mscoreei.dll could not be loaded After a reboot, I get the same error every time I try to run an app that depends on .Net 4 Anyone run into this before? Know a fix?
tomasz86
I am not sure if creating a new topic was a good idea because the combined .NET installer is discussed and available only through the main USP 5.2 thread. Anyhow, my guess would be that you have not installed either UURollup or the BlackWingCat's kernel. The .NET Framework 3.5 and 4.0 files require the kernel extension to run. I would suggest to install the newest version of BWC kernel (and other BWC kernel related packages) and then reinstall the .NET package. On a side note, there is also a possibility that not all .NET dependant applications will work, regardless of the kernel, but you should still try first. k2x5
Thank you tomasz86! I installed BWC's KernelEx v18g and re-installed the combined .NET - works like a charm!
tomasz86
I have just updated my website. The Archive now links to Google Drive instead of Dropbox. I have also fixed several broken URLs (thanks @MattRoot1616). Please let me know if there any other issues with the site! tomasz86
A big update today! 1. Many new updates added (mostly from XP POSReady but not only). 2. HFSLIP 2000 updated (check the changelog in the ZIP archive). 3. HFSLIP2000-FullPack also updated accordingly with the new updates and the updated HFSLIP 2000 script. Check the changelog on http://windows2000.tk for all the details, and please let me know if you find any issues with the new updates. cc333
I have downloaded it and integrated it into my Win2k installer, but I have a weird problem with driver signing: it seems that every driver (including stock ones) are no longer digitally signed. I get the "cannot verify digital signature" dialog during setup when it's installing drivers for the IDE/SATA adapter and the mouse. Any idea why? It doesn't harm functionality (so far), so it's little more than an annoyance, which I can live with. c

I have not experienced any issues with the stock ones though. I will need to have a look at your HFSLIP log file. Can you upload it here? Also, is your Windows source modified in any way? Have you used any other tools than HFSLIP to modify it? I always test my HFSLIP packages before uploading with a clean copy of Windows 2000 Professional with SP4 pre-integrated. I only add my WINNT.SIF, run the HFSLIP script and then test the ISO file in VirtualBox. Edited November 24, 2016 by tomasz86
cc333
Where is the log file? I will upload it when I find it. It was an untouched SP0 source, although I used nLite to create a bootable ISO. Do I have to add my own WINNT.SIF, or is that only for your own uses? It's a great package, and it allows me to treat 2000 more or less the same as XP in terms of throwing software at it (with the addition of BWC's Extended Core and Extended Kernel). It's like the good old days (for me, 2004 - 2009), when I could use the two almost interchangeably. Thank you for your hard work! c

=============================================================================== HFSLIP run time: 16m37s 16 hours ago, cc333 said: It was an untouched SP0 source, although I used nLite to create a bootable ISO. The SP4 is included in the FullPack so it should not matter. Using nLite may cause issues though, especially when used after HFSLIP. An ISO file is automatically created when using the FullPack so if possible try to use that to install the system. This way we will see if nLite is the culprit or not. 16 hours ago, cc333 said: Do I have to add my own WINNT.SIF, or is that only for your own uses? WINNT.SIF is used for automated installation. I have mine set up so that the whole process is 100% automatic. This is especially handy for testing the ISO in VirtualBox. Basic information: http://unattended.msfn.org/unattended.xp/view/web/19/ Detailed information: https://technet.microsoft.com/library/cc786944(v=ws.10).aspx Here you can check mine (without the serial key): Spoiler [Data] Autopartition=1 MsDosInitiated=0 UnattendedInstall="Yes" [Unattended] UnattendMode=DefaultHide OemSkipEula="Yes" WaitForReboot="No" Repartition="Yes" [GuiUnattended] EncryptedAdminPassword="No" AdminPassword="tomasz" AutoLogon="Yes" TimeZone=230 OEMSkipRegional=1 OemSkipWelcome=1 [UserData] ProductID="xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxxx" ComputerName=TW86 FullName="Tomasz W" [RegionalSettings] LanguageGroup=2,7,8,9,10 SystemLocale="0412" UserLocale="0412" InputLocale="0412:00000412","0415:00000415" SystemLocale="0412" [Networking] InstallDefaultComponents="Yes" [Identification] JoinWorkgroup="WORKGROUP" [LicenseFilePrintData] AutoMode = PerServer AutoUsers = 5 Be careful! Using this file as it is will remove all existing partitions from the drive! Also, I have used this file for Windows 2000 Server and Windows XP too so not all sections / entries are relevant to 2000 Pro. Those are ignored during the setup process anyway. cc333
Thanks! I didn't know HFSLIP created its own ISO, so I'll go try it out and see what happens. And I'll put the log aside for now, but I'll post it if the HFSLIP ISO does the same thing as the nLite ISO. c
Haron2016
Why the KB908506 updating isn't included? https://support.microsoft.com/en-en/kb/908506 Edited November 26, 2016 by Haron2016 link
