Ponch
Remove the lines that specifically say they are not for your OS....C48 Epson printer\ENGLISH\WIN9X......Trust\Mouse\WinNT40... Do you even need an additional driver for a mouse ?...ZDWLAN 11g USB (I)\Drivers\Windows_2000......ZDWLAN 11g USB (I)\Drivers\Windows_98......ZDWLAN 11g USB (I)\Drivers\Windows_Me...also the lines with "autorun.inf" in them are probably not drivers but launchers of the drivers installers, they should not be here. brianpals
Hi PonchThanks for this information and I've removed what you indicated. This is the first time that I've looked inside one of these files and I'm surprised that I have so many Keyboards and Languages showing when I thought I only selected UK and English.I'll take a copy of this and then remove all of the ones that I don't think I'll need to see if it still works. Thanks, once again.Brian
Ponch
I'm surprised that I have so many Keyboards and Languages showing when I thought I only selected UK and English. No you did not, you selected all but them as components to be removed. Appearing in the Last Session.ini are Components to be removed, drivers (from the drivers section, not from components) to be added, tweaks and options to be selected as change to the OS (non MS-standard value). brianpals
Thanks for coming back to me so quickly on this, Ponch. I wondered why I couldn't see my UK selections! And I'm glad I made another copy before I deleted all those that I thought I'd missed! :-)I'll let you know how I get on.Thanks, once againBrian
brianpals
Thanks, Gentlemen, for all of your help. The installation using the latest nLite Windows disk went so well that I call the process a success. However, I did get the following messages during the setup:This hotfix isn’t made for this Windows version!Skipping KB2564958(g:\windows xp post sp3 high-priority updates (x86)\windows-en-us-kb2564958.exe)Followed by:KB951978 – Hotfix integration failed. Please report if this is unexpected. And finally, I still got that same H-... message that I got right from the start.Any ideas?Brian
Ponch
Skipping KB2564958(g:\windows xp post sp3 high-priority updates (x86)\windows-en-us-kb2564958.exe)I guess -X- has made a mistake (it seems to be a recent update) and copied the file for Win7. The XP update is named WindowsXP-KB2564958-x86-ENU.exe.For KB951978, ... I don't know.

brianpals
Well, Gents, that all seems to have done the trick.I got no error reports when creating the ISO, or when burning it to disk, and it all installed correctly with no stopping to ask me questions.Once finished I still couldn't get that systeminfo to be recognised as a genuine Windows XP command, but I imagine that all of the updates have integrated. Thanks, once again.Brian
