Looking For Programmers

its shouldnt take lots of time for good Programmer

im looking for volunteers to make a app for remove unneed files from winsxs directory in windows7 pre-install

its shouldnt take much time

by using few steps it will be able to make the right files that can removed

Dude seriously, check the 7Customizer Component Removal thread. In, fact, here is a link. It has all the info you need there, and works directly from the WinSxS directory. All based on XML, which you and a few others can write and add to it. However, please note, it won't remove WinSxS entirely, but any components you don't need will be removed and deleted from the WinSxS, which should drastically shrink the size of the WinSxS folder.

I'm sure blue would appreciate it and anyone else looking forward to more component removal XML files. I would make a few but I don't have the time at the moment until a few things outside of my computer time get taken care of.

Also, doesn't vLite safely shrink WinSxS if you install the updatability pack? Though, I don't really like that method.

Ninja Edit: No matter how good the programmer, it will take A LOT of time. There are 12000 manifests files to decipher components from. No matter what, it's going to be time consuming.

dont worry i managed to understand which files can be removed or not

thats why i need app to do that

its simple to remove all winsxs directory manually but its not easy to remove the correct files that can be removed

i know nothing about 7Customizer

never use it

i use rtlite and vlite

rtlite winsxs removal is not stable enuf not all the updates installed

and vlite winsxs removal not for if u wanna update at all

how much winsxs size after using 7customizer ?

7Customizer has recently added component removal support. If you are willing to help 7Customizer progress, then we can have smaller and stable WinSxS. The same amount of effort to make a new program could be put into making 7Customizer better. Why not just put the time into helping Blue out? The component removal is already programmed, all that is needed is the XML files telling it what to delete. You can help by reading the 7Customizer component removal thread.

how much his method can do ?

English is obviously not your first language.

Perhaps you should learn this is a programming section and not a 7Customer section.

i duno nothing about xml and i dont gonna place 20k files in xml

and i dont find 7Customizer so comfort to work with so i wont use

also working on so hard on differ editions is non-sense

pls dont interpreted this topic u dont have idea what im talking

First of all you have posted no code what so ever, just a outline of what you want done.

Two there seems to be some confusion as to what forum this is,.As I stated in the above

post of mine, this is for programming and coding only not 7Customer,Vlite or whatever

else.

Three since I am a Mod I do not like the tone that seems to be appearing between you

and Moonchilde

If you, aviv00 can not post more along this line

I have this code that I seem to not be able to run right

I found some reference to some code, here is what I pieced together

could someone help me fix this.

I would not waste my time writing any code for this myself, other may want to.
