April 13, 201115 yr Hello,I´ve got a strange problem on a customer machine...It´s a Dell Optiplex 980 Core i5 3,2 , 4 GB Windows 7 Pro x64 SP1...If any application is launched the screen goes black for about two ir three secondes an then comes up again....any ideas ???thank you Edited April 13, 201115 yr by 9717875
April 13, 201115 yr Try updating the video driver. In case the machine already has the latest video driver, then try using a previous version of it, instead, at least 6 months older.
April 13, 201115 yr I have this sometime if I connect my Monitor with DVI. How do you connect the monitor?
April 13, 201115 yr Author Yes to DVI ..... sounds strange it´s a quadro card i can only connect the monitors via dvi
April 15, 201115 yr Have you disabled UAC at all? The Protected Desktop can make the screen go black as well, or could appear that way based on color settings.
