opakedragon Posted January 20, 2011 Posted January 20, 2011 Hi so I am getting a little confused about the .NET Framework situation. Do I have to install all of the versions and updates individually? or will installing the latest version install everything at once? This is important because I don't want to install an earlier version that will be installed again anyway and I need to know what to do. Thanks!
ChiefZeke Posted January 21, 2011 Posted January 21, 2011 .NET Framework 1.1 is on its own..NET Framework 3.5 will install 2.0, 3.0 and 3.5..NET Framework 4.0 is also standalone.Once installed appropriate updates can/will be applied.

Guest Posted January 21, 2011 Posted January 21, 2011 Of course you don't HAVE to install any. If it wasn't for nLite I wouldn't even have .NET 2.0 installed.

If it wasn't for nLite I wouldn't even have .NET 2.0 installed. For my purposes I need to have all .net framework versions + their updates installed. Im still trying to figure out exactly how to do that though. From what I have read I gather that i need to do all of the updates and versions in order or things get fudged up. I also need to make them all unattended but that is a different thread. Thanks guys.
