Running IE 7 on a Windows 7 Pro machine

Featured Replies

Is it possible to run IE 7 on a Windows 7 Pro machine? I have a web base site that will not run in IE 8 needs IE 7. I have tried to install IE 7 on the Windows 7 machine in compatability mode, still get error message "This installation does not support you operating system's current Service Pack version".

Thanks for your help

Use the compatibility mode button. That resets it to be compatible with IE7.

If Dblake1's suggestion does not work, if you are running an eligible version of windows 7 you can install Windows XP Mode and then upgrade it to IE 7 and there is a registry key you need to add so you can see it in win7.

Thanks for the info, I tried running it in compatability mode. Do you know what the registry key is to change?
