VideoRipper Posted August 8, 2010 Posted August 8, 2010 (edited) Depending on what an ISP can offer, you can have multiple (static) IP's on a single (A)DSL connection; normally such a package is called somethinglike "Bussiness DSL" or similar. However, you can't have multiple DSL ISP's using the same telephone line(at least not here in Holland), since (for obvious reaons) they don't wantto share a line with the competition. Tripredacus Posted August 9, 2010 Posted August 9, 2010 If you want to do it legally, you should check your current Terms of Service if you have a residential account. Otherwise there are services out there that let you attach a domain name to a dynamic IP address, but if your ISP does not allow business activities on a residential account, they could interrupt or terminate your account on you. If this is the case, you should look into what options your ISP has.Usually business accounts will give you a static IP but will cost more. The upside to that cost is you end up getting preferential treatment if they need to send a tech out, or get a different number for technical support. There may be other perks too, like additional email accounts.
