AlBundy33 Posted May 27, 2010 Posted May 27, 2010 I am receiving this script error as seen in the screen capture and a few more saying the same thing. The WPI scripts having this error are windowoptions.js,configwizard.js, and useroptions.js. I am running XP Pro (SP3) x86. Any ideas as how to fix this or is it even a big problem? ThanksYou should also post the corrupt files.Al
quiksilver947 Posted May 27, 2010 Posted May 27, 2010 I added a program to WPI and am testing with virtual box. I have a batch file that start WPI and it starts and I select the software, but then receive this error as well.
AlBundy33 Posted May 27, 2010 Posted May 27, 2010 Do you mean the contents of each file?Yes - you can also attach these files to your post.Al
quiksilver947 Posted May 27, 2010 Posted May 27, 2010 These are the three that come back as having a script errorconfig.jswindowoptions.jsuseroptions.js
AlBundy33 Posted May 27, 2010 Posted May 27, 2010 These are the three that come back as having a script errorI can use your files without any problem (tried with WPI 8.0.2).AFAIK WPI has some problems if Nero 7 is installed.Do you have a "normal" XP (e.g. not modified with nlite)? You can also try to run WPI in another account.Al

quiksilver947 Posted May 27, 2010 Posted May 27, 2010 It does work fine within virtual box there are no errors except when I choose the program to install I get that error box that I included in an earlier post. Could that stem from having the command wrong to launch the executable?
AlBundy33 Posted May 27, 2010 Posted May 27, 2010 Maybe you should try to install a "normal" XP (without nLite) and try WPI again. You should also remove the "start"-commands in your install commands.Instead of start %systemdrive%\wpi\install\imgburn\imgburn.exeyou should use%systemdrive%\wpi\install\imgburn\imgburn.exeAl
mritter Posted May 27, 2010 Posted May 27, 2010 I would have to agree with Al, probably something taken out with nLite that is needed.
quiksilver947 Posted May 28, 2010 Posted May 28, 2010 I tried what you guys suggested and the program worked on the fresh install of XP. Is there going to be anyway to make it work for a complete unattended install without me getting an error when the installer starts after I have selected which programs to install. The file that shows up in the error report is mshta.exe
Kelsenellenelvian Posted May 28, 2010 Author Posted May 28, 2010 Attach your last_session.ini and let me pick at it please. This is definatly NOT normal behavior...
Kelsenellenelvian Posted May 28, 2010 Author Posted May 28, 2010 Man I really dunno. It might be one of the hotfixes.Might I suggest a update pack instead?http://www.ryanvm.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=7184 <-- Here is a good one if you are interested in JUST critical updates.I KNOW that works.
