can you tell me please how to fix this problem that the below pop up tends to appear each time I right click on a file and open the context menu

You could remove it by hand using regedit, but if you're looking for something simpler you could try ShellExView.

How/when it started?

That program is a known troublemaker in certain configurations:

But maybe it's a corrupted exe/dependency or a virus/malware of some kind.

Make sure you have no virus/malware.

Run combofix:

how can I remove it using ShellExView? I don't see any verclisid.exe entry

If you follow the link given by jaclaz, you'll see that verclsid isn't the shell extension, it's what verifies them. ShellExView will let you remove them, including the one causing issues (crashing verclsid). I'd start with whatever was installed last.

i have removed that app and replaced with "dud"

it helped me when verclsid started to cause troubles with image thumbnails in explorer

but can help you also if you have some error problems with no reason
