Hey Guys -

I just wanted to say hi and introduce myself. I am new to your forums but not new to computers. I started building them in 1985 and never looked back. I ran a Bulletin Board (non-internet) for 12 years using PCBoard software. I actually ran a Rat Shack Model 4 as my first computer and very soon after bought a genuine IBM XT with floppy drives and no hard drive. I immediately ordered a clone machine that doubled my speed to 8 Mhz! That is what I started the board on because it had (2)20 Meg drives!

Anyway, it sounds like I may be in good company here. I have had to learn some HP3000 stuff at work among other things. Now I recently retired and need to spend more time in what I really love, the Old PC

If we had a "GRiDCase that went under water and has no power supply and takes 30 minutes to boot off a Toshiba DOS disk when hooked up to a printer power adapter" forum I would have made a better greetings.
