Guest Posted February 13, 2010 Posted February 13, 2010 If you use Firefox to download WGA protected files via the FF plugin can you check if it still works for you.Since yesterday, I have had to download an exe and punch in a code.Try this download: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details...;displaylang=enThanks
Tripredacus Posted February 15, 2010 Posted February 15, 2010 The method you are describing is the only one I have ever known to exist. Perhaps they recently updated the WGAplugin and the old one won't work?
Sp0iLedBrAt Posted February 17, 2010 Posted February 17, 2010 (edited) There are two ways: the WGA plug-in and the "Alternate method" at the bottom of the page where you download a small .exe file which checks your system and produces a code which you enter in a box on the web page. I also know that the code expires after some time and you can't reuse it.Anyway, -X- is right; the WGA plug-in in Firefox didn't work for me either. It redirected me to the other method. But the alternate method is still available and working. Or you can just use IE .Cheers Edited February 17, 2010 by Sp0iLedBrAt
