BleedingEdge
Hi guys,At first glance, there seem to be some issues integrating IE8 and it's updates using nLite. Is this right? Can I not just get the IE8 install executable from Microsoft (IE8-WindowsXP-x86-ENU.exe for XP Pro, and the equivalent for XP x64) and integrate it as I did IE7? Then the updates (KB976325, KB971961, and KB975364) just go into the hotfix section. There seem to be a few IE8 "addons" floating around this forum, which would indicate that what I want to do is not possible? Is this so?Many thanks,Martin

Is this so?You've answered your own question. Use that addon. Threre's even a thread still on the 1st page of this forum about integrating IE8 ("and all updates"). Guest
nLite has not been updated to slipstream an IE8 executable directly, BleedingEdge. At this point, an update to nLite is not likely to happen. However, I have posted what I believe to be a complete list of available IE8 addons that nLite can use to accomplish the task. lknt
You can also create your own addon, the IE8 installer has commandline switches to make it unattended (that's the way I did it).
