how to set boot secotor in iso for ssd alignment at 64

Greetings one and all!

For xp-32 os install on ssd, for correct alignment, offset must be set to 64 instead of the default sector which is set at offset 63.

Does anyone know how to create a boot sector file set at 64 offset and to link that file to nLite Bootable ISO screen under "custom boot sector"?

I quote the recomendation of nLite at that option, "default is a boot sector for all windows versions which will initiate normal boot with i386/amd64 folder. However if you have your own boot menu and a boot sector which goes with it, select it with the custom option."

I have patitioned the ssd (ocz 30gb vertex) offset 64 using diskpart and dispar command line utilities. the partitions are set fine, but upon xp install, it usually wants to format the partition, which is fine as the partition is correctly aligned at 64, instead of xp default of 63.

my concern is that this menu option, if left to default setting, will re-align the partition boot sector to 63 offset... does anyone here know what i am talking about?

The CD contains a boot sector too. The option refers to the used boot sector at CD.

Typically you use another boot sector at a multi boot CD.

As you hard disk is partitioned already, you may ignore the setting.

This setting dosn't change hard disk alignment.

Is alignment even a concern on SSD? Isn't alignment all about disk read efficiency, specifically about how a hard disk drive works physically?
