iTunes Library file cannot be saved.

After installing iTunes on Windows7 everytime i use it this message pops up [see Below]

I have checked out many of the ideas on the web already.....

My music is saved on my D:\ Partition....

Any ideas that might help......

The file that stores informations about your library is located in the install folder of iTunes, most likely under Program Files. Modifying the security options of that folder might help. Just a hint ;)

Look at your D Partition security if the folders have locks on them, you need to edit the security so the Users group and read/write/execute/modify access. By default users only have read/execute. Your getting that error because iTunes cannot create or edit files in your music location. You need the correct the security of the whole D partition.

I have the same setup. I all of the personal folders (music, videos, documents, favorites, links, etc) to the D partition.

If that does not work, hold the shift key and open iTunes, keep it open. iTunes will now allow you to pick the location where your library file is or create a new one in your music folder.

I am currently having to resort to remaking my "Music" Folder after trying the other options..... should only take a few hours hopefully.......... Will report back with results
