What Is Checkscript?

OS XP / Trying to upgrade to FighterAce 4.2. Problem is when I run the new FAinstaller it all goes well until the download progress meter appears and an ERROR window pops up saying "CHECKSCRIPT IS MISSING" and "MAKE SURE THIS PROGRAM CAN WRITE FROM THE DIRECTORY IT IS RUNNING FROM”. Prior to download Firewall and antivirus were totally disabled and popups to the download site are allowed. I downloaded FAinstall to another directory and got the same results. I booted to SAFE MODE and tried running FAinstall there with exactly the same results. What is CHECKSCRIPT!!?. There little to no information on MSN, Google or Yahoo (unbelievable).

Anybody got an idea?

I am running XP. Does CHECKSPCRIPT.EXE come with install download or is it an XP file? Can't find it using my search function.

I finally got Fainstaller to run by changing the compatability mode to windows 2000. (I’m XP) Simple fix. Complicated find. Thanks for everybody’s help. Getting the game is OK but solving the “getting the game” problem is just as satisfying.
