gutenmorgen Posted November 20, 2009 Posted November 20, 2009 (edited) Greetings,I made myself an nlite windows XP SP3. However, I can't complete the installation because my Product Key is invalid. (not really of course)I've looked around and noticed that this is a common problem with nlite but I couldn't find a fix.Thing is that I can't even continue if I leave all fields blank although the setup routine informs me that I don't have to enter a key at this time.misc. informations:nlite used: most recent (dl today from the official nlite site)os used to create nlite installation: win 7 rcsource windows version: win xp home sp1 systembuilderThanks for the help and have a nice day Edited November 20, 2009 by gutenmorgen
Ponch Posted November 20, 2009 Posted November 20, 2009 -ensure the key you are using is working with the original SP1 install cd you are starting with.-ensure it is not blacklisted by SP2/SP3 ( .... in other words, it is a legit key).-try building you disc under XP instead of Win7 or Vista.-if still no luck, try integrating first SP2 then SP3(test your iso's and the keywith Virtual box)
gutenmorgen Posted November 20, 2009 Author Posted November 20, 2009 Hi!I don't have to try the key because I installed Windows XP with this Key very often and it always worked. I know that this is an nlite/SP3 issue so I guess I'll just make another .iso without sp3 and install it afterwards.
johnhc Posted November 20, 2009 Posted November 20, 2009 gutenmorgen, most likely it is the fact that you are running nLite under Vista. If you don't add an SP it will probably work. We have seen this many times. You can run nLite under XP under a virtual system if you are running one. In the future, please attach (not paste) your Last Session. Enjoy, john.
ricktendo Posted November 20, 2009 Posted November 20, 2009 (edited) You could try to integrate sp3 into XP inside a Virtua Machine with nLite, if that doent work try manually integrating sp3 (without nLite) inside the VM Edited November 20, 2009 by ricktendo64
